The vise is fixed with a slider that extends 7“ inches away from the edge of the bench for extra wiggle room. The vise is retracted back to the edge of the bench when not in use.
The vise develops in excess of 225 Lbs at a working pressure of 70 PSI and 350 Lbs at pressure of 115 PSI. For most gripping applications a pressure 40 PSI is sufficient for handling light weight shafts.
