A groove cutter checker designed around a small industrial grade microscope fitted with good optics capable of magnifying the cutter 20 times over. The blade is mounted in the spring loaded chuck which positions the blade flat in relation to the viewing angle so that it can be measured accurately using the LED back lit high precision reticule with a precision of 0.01 mm. This easy to use precision microscope is a good alternative to the more expensive and cumbersome Shadow-graphs.
